The 2024 Tassie Mental Health Comedy Roadshow (sausage sizzle from 6pm before the show). All FREE!
We’re very excited to be hosting a performance of the 2024 Tassie Mental Health Comedy Roadshow at Buckland Church as part of Mental Health Week.
This is a national celebration encouraging social connection and a way of continuing to raise awareness of mental health issues, reducing the stigma that can be associated with seeking help.
FOBC will be hosting a FREE sausage sizzle from 6pm in the churchyard prior to the show (which starts at 7.30pm) for everyone to have the opportunity to catch-up with friends and family before enjoying an evening of laughs!

Tickets for Strings on Fire Tasmania at Buckland Church are now on sale! Don't miss out on this mesmerising candlelit performance by Tasmania’s ‘Strings on Fire’ versatile string quartet. Internationally renowned, they'll be playing British hits you know and love. Come help us 'Paint the Town Red' for Dark Mofo and the winter solstice.
All proceeds go to the Friends of Buckland Church Appeal Fund.

BIG BAND BLUES AT BUCKLAND CHURCH
Big Band Blues at the Buckland Church - with Terraplane and the Hudson Horns
There's no better way to enjoy summer than listening to live music in the outdoors! Enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon of music with Hobart-based blues band Terraplane and the Hudson Horns. at Buckland Church, as part of the ongoing fundraising efforts by FOBC,
Bring a folding chair or picnic blanket and relax in the churchyard to the sound of blues, funk and swing. From the classics of Chicago Blues, the swing of Texas and West Coast Blues, to the more modern treatments of Jason Ricci, Carlos Del Junco and even a little Tom Waits with the occasional stray into jazz and ballads. Something to please every ear!
Food and drink will be available to purchase throughout the afternoon from Robbie's Wood Fired Pizzas, Gert and Ted's Food Truck, beer by Ye Olde Buckland Inn, wine by Twamley Farm, BBQ by the Buckland with the TAS Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Valhalla Ice Cream van.
There’ll also be opportunities to win great prizes on the chocolate wheel between music sets including local East Coast crays, pheasant, prawns, beer and wine.
Many of our food and drink stalls donate to FOBC from their sales on the day. All profits from ticket sales go to FOBC fundraising for maintenance and upkeep of the church and grounds.
